About twenty years ago, my father decided to start a new career in the appraisal business. In this time period, he has only trained one other person besides me. Several years ago, I decided it was time for a change in my career. I was a coach, of all sorts of sports in public education, for the first half of my adult life. While coaching is rewarding in many ways, I knew the time had come to make a move. My father was approaching retirement, and if I ever wanted to get into this business of appraising like my own father, it was time to make the change. I spent four years working under him, training and learning the in's and out's of this business, as well as how to be self-employed. Looking back, it was a hard road for both of us, but seeing where I am today, totally worth the change. While I depend on God for every provision, I know that God used my earthly father to provide a legacy for this business adventure.
